Monday had the team biking from the outskirts of Doushan to the "Floating Moon Village" where we were able to tour a Gold Mountain Mansion. These large homes were built with money earned in Gold Mountain - California and Canada around the time of the gold rush and transcontinental railroad. From there we biked a mile or so only to find the road closed. After a lengthy detour we made it to the lunch site. The rest of the day was spent biking to a large reservoir and along the way we saw tile and brick factories, had some great farmer interviews, saw lots of water buffalo and soaked in some beautiful countryside.
Following showers and dinner it is off to some awesome foot massages in Taishan. Watch for some more team reflections later in the day. We will also answer a couple of questions the St. Paul's 3rd graders asked.
Sorry about the lack of pictures - the connection is not letting them post. Hopefully soon!
Glad to hear that all is going well.
