Teagan's Post Trip Reflection

Five things I won't forget:
1. Shepherd's Field
2. Villages
3. William, BCIS
4. Great Wall
5. Church

How I saw God at work through our trip:
Through everything we did. It was setting an example of Christianity, from Shepherd's Field, to the villages we visited and the new people we met. Through us everyone was experiencing God. It is not because of us that these people see God but the Holy Spirit working in us.

Wyatt's Post Trip Reflection

Five things I won't forget:
1. The Great Wall
2. Tiananmen Square
3. BCIS friends
4. Biking
5. Two very different cultures

How I saw God at work through our trip:
Throughout the explorations a BCIS student grew closer and closer to faith in Jesus. On the last night we gathered to see if we would baptize him I thought through it. He also called his parents who are extreme Buddhists and they said he has to wait. From start to finish this boy became a Christian.

Five things I won't forget:
1. Hanging out with BCIS
2. William learning about God
3. Going to the Olympic Training Center
4. Meeting Mr. He
5. The food (especially Korean BBQ)

How I saw God at work through our trip:
When I left for this I did not think that there would be spiritual bonding but I was wrong. We connected greatly with the BCIS students and adults. We formed great, strong relationships. In addition we saw William meet God. He talked with us and when he did I felt like I saw God working.

2. Great Wall of China

3. Shepherd's Field

4. Mrs. Wu & Mrs Deng

5. Biking through China

How I saw God at work through our trip:

I saw God at work in William's life. William had lots of great questions about Christianity, baptism and faith. I also saw God at work when we visited the farmers. Our positive attitude was an example to the farmers and we witnessed Jesus to them. This is how I was God at work on our trip.

Danielle's Post Trip Reflection

Five things I won't forget:

1. William wanting to be baptized and becoming a Christian.

2. Becoming closer to friends.

3. The BCIS students that we became friends with.

4. Climbing the Great Wall of China.

5. Going to Shepherd's Field.

How I saw God at work through our trip:

William Hartford would talk to William from BCIS about God. It touched William so much that he became a Christian. He wanted to get baptized. He called his parents and they said he can't get baptized but they are happy he found God. That was really amazing to see God work so fast.

Dani's Reflection

I am so grateful that my son wanted me to go on this adventure with him. I've seen so much love and generosity on this trip. I really tried my best to stay out of my own way so I could let God in and experience what he wanted me to get. Peace, joy and love was what I felt at Shepherd's Field. Holding the babies and watching the little munchkins blow bubbles and chasing those bubbles. I was scared to go to the orphanage or visit the poor in China because I want for nothing and I was worried I'd feel guilty for all the blessings in my life. But I realized that what was in my heart is the biggest blessing I have. I did not feel guilty or ashamed. I only felt love the entire trip.

I think the biggest gift I got was also the most unexpected, and that was all the wonderful friendships. Not only from the BCIS kids and teachers but from the women in our group. I don't think I've ever felt closer to anyone else I'm not related to.
