Ben B's Reflection

Today was our last day of biking. We stopped in a village and met a woman making steel wool scrubbers out in front of her house. Then we visited an elementary school. After we finished biking we rode a bus to Kaiping. Kaiping is a neat city. From our hotel room we have a great view of the city and a big river. At night the bridges and some buildings are lit up with different colors.

In the evening, we visited Kaiping Changshi High School. We were given an impressive performance including martial arts and Chinese folk music. Many of the students wanted to take pictures and exchange email addresses with us. One girl who I talked with said "I am so nervous, this is the first time I have ever talked to a foreigner." That was so surprising to me. China is such a fascinating country, and this trip has been amazing!

  1. Hi Ben, You were gifted trust from someone who has never spoken to a foreigner, and I'm sure you know how important that is. Those little exchanges can change the world! Amen!
